Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop patent-pending strategic frameworks for emerging market entry
- Partner with R&D to prototype breakthrough solutions (quantum AI, neural interfaces)
- Present future scenarios to investors/board members securing $500M+ funding rounds
- Author industry-defining whitepapers on tech ethics and human augmentation
- Manage cross-functional 'Future Labs' with engineers and behavioral scientists
- Advise on M&A opportunities in nascent sectors (brain-computer interfaces, synthetic biology)
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years focused on 2020+ horizon planning
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies (3+ exits)
- Deep expertise in exponential tech trends (AGI, quantum computing, nanotech)
- Published author or keynote speaker at Web Summit, TED, or Davos
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Portfolio of 5+ patented innovation frameworks or methodologies
- Security clearance (Top Secret preferred) for government collaboration projects
