Reporting directly to the Chief Innovation Officer, you'll lead end-to-end innovation lifecycles from ideation to implementation. This role requires strategic foresight, executive presence, and a passion for turning disruptive concepts into market realities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections and organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and validating emerging tech opportunities (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Drive customer-centric innovation through ethnographic research and rapid prototyping
- Secure executive buy-in and manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused KPIs
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry disruptors
- Champion design thinking methodologies across 15+ global product teams
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, product development, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products with $50M+ revenue impact
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, blockchain) and their commercial applications
- Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or Innovation Management (MBA preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in trend forecasting and competitive analysis
- Certification in Design Thinking (e.g., IDEO) or Agile methodologies
- Experience scaling innovation programs across global organizations
- Demonstrated ability to secure patents and protect intellectual property
