Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable energy systems
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of researchers, engineers, and designers to prototype next-gen solutions
- Identify emerging tech trends and assess commercial viability for market disruption
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and investors
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget with ROI-focused allocation strategies
- Drive patent development for breakthrough technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in strategic leadership roles
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/cleantech)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Expertise in futures forecasting methodologies and scenario planning
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $3M
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley research ecosystems
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks like TRIZ and Design Foresight
