Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology domains (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Develop 10-year strategic frameworks aligned with 2026 market projections and societal shifts
- Architect innovation pipelines for next-gen products/services targeting 2026 adoption curves
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight into patentable IP and market-ready innovations
- Present strategic recommendations to executive board with data-backed scenario planning
- Establish cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype 2026-ready business models
- Author thought leadership positioning company as industry futurist authority
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, futurism, or innovation leadership with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of predicting and capitalizing on market shifts (2018-2025)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging tech stacks (Web3, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures to stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategy (Harvard Business Review, etc.)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or equivalent preferred
