Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026-2030 technology foresight framework, identifying breakthrough opportunities across 15+ emerging domains
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with CTOs, VPs of Product, and AI research teams to prototype future-forward solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and quantum computing pioneers
- Author quarterly 'Future State Briefings' for the board, translating complex technological trends into actionable business strategies
- Manage a $50M innovation fund, evaluating and incubating 20+ moonshot projects annually
- Spearhead Horizon Dynamics' presence at Davos, CES, and World Economic Forum futurist forums
- Mentor a 15-person Future Strategy Division through scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, technology consulting, or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or Silicon Valley unicorns
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech) with $100M+ revenue impact
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and technology roadmapping frameworks
- Exceptional executive communication skills with ability to distill complex concepts for C-suite and board audiences
- Published author in Harvard Business Review or MIT Technology Review on innovation strategy
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python/R preferred) and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
