Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and publish annual Future State Reports with strategic recommendations for board-level decision-making
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops that cross-pollinate ideas between R&D, product, and marketing teams
- Build scenario-planning models to quantify risks/opportunities from disruptive forces (AI, climate, geopolitics)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to pioneer next-gen solutions
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures-thinking methodologies and adaptive strategy frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field; PhD preferred
- 8+ years in corporate strategy, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercialized products/services
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis)
- Published thought leadership in innovation or future studies publications
