Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps across quantum computing, synthetic biology, and neural interfaces
- Lead cross-functional teams of futurists, engineers, and data scientists in prototyping next-gen solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present futuristic forecasts and innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and board members
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies through internal incubation programs
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive opportunities by 2026
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, nanotech)
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership on 2025-2030 technology trends
- Experience leading teams of 15+ technical professionals
- Strong network with DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation bodies
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFMP preferred)
