Are you ready to architect the decentralized future? Nexus Protocol Labs is seeking a visionary Senior Web3 Smart Contract Engineer to join our elite engineering team in San Francisco. As we approach the mass adoption era of Web3, we need a technical expert to lead the development of our next-generation Layer 2 interoperability protocol.
In this role, you will define the technical roadmap for high-throughput, secure smart contracts that power the next generation of decentralized applications. You will bridge the gap between complex blockchain architecture and real-world user experiences, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and future-proof.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and deploy secure smart contracts in Solidity and Rust for Layer 2 scaling solutions.
- Lead the technical strategy for cross-chain bridge protocols, focusing on security and interoperability.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and third-party security audits to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Optimize gas efficiency and transaction throughput for high-volume dApps.
- Collaborate with the AI integration team to build autonomous on-chain agents.
- Mentor junior developers and establish best practices for the engineering organization.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years specifically in blockchain/Web3.
- Deep expertise in Solidity, Rust, and Web3.js or Ethers.js.
- Proven track record of deploying and auditing complex smart contracts on Ethereum or Solana.
- Experience with Layer 2 solutions (Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and consensus mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
