- Qubit Optimization: Collaborate with hardware engineers to tune software parameters for maximum qubit coherence and gate fidelity.
- Library Creation: Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks or internal libraries to advance the industry standard.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Prototyping: Rapidly prototype and test new quantum approaches using simulators and early-access quantum hardware.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on quantum mechanics.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on quantum computing or advanced high-performance computing.
- Programming: Expert proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust, with experience in quantum SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PyQuil, or Amazon Braket).
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of quantum circuit theory, linear algebra, and error correction techniques.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of solving complex, ambiguous problems in a research or development setting.
