We're seeking a visionary Senior Futurist to shape our 2026 strategic roadmap and lead cross-functional teams in emerging technology adoption. This pivotal role demands an architect of change who can translate foresight into actionable business strategies.
As a key member of our executive strategy team, you'll conduct horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology adoption forecasting to position our organization for exponential growth in the post-2025 landscape. You'll collaborate with R&D, product, and leadership teams to de-risk innovation and capitalize on paradigm shifts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2026 technology adoption roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech integration
- Lead cross-functional scenario planning workshops to identify disruptive market opportunities
- Conduct horizon scanning across global innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Shenzhen, Berlin)
- Translate foresight insights into executive-ready strategic recommendations and KPI frameworks
- Manage a portfolio of emerging technology pilots with $5M+ annual innovation budget
- Present future-state visions to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Build and mentor a high-performing futurist team of 5 specialists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing 5-year+ technology adoption roadmaps
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional scenario planning and strategic storytelling abilities
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through technology transitions
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (Harvard Business Review/MIT Sloan preferred)
