Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, market shifts, and sociocultural trends to forecast industry landscapes through 2026
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating AI, biotech, and sustainable innovation frameworks
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future scenarios and opportunities
- Produce high-impact foresight reports and executive presentations translating complex data into actionable insights
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing principles into R&D pipelines
- Establish thought leadership through whitepapers, podcasts, and industry conference speaking
- Mentor junior futurists and build a world-class foresight methodology within the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or corporate futurism
- Proven track record of translating foresight into market-leading products or business models
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (portfolio required)
- Experience scaling foresight programs within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
