Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and market disruptions to build 5-year strategic foresight frameworks
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype and validate next-generation products and services
- Develop scenario planning models for geopolitical, economic, and environmental variables impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Partner with product teams to integrate foresight insights into innovation pipelines
- Publish thought leadership reports and represent Horizon Dynamics at global futurist forums
- Mentor junior strategists in foresight methodologies and critical future analysis
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating complex trends into actionable business strategies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains (e.g., AI ethics, space commercialization, neurotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent experience
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization skills for communicating future scenarios
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on long-term transformation
- Certification in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., WFS, CFTE) preferred
