What you'll do: Conduct horizon-scanning research, develop scenario-based strategic frameworks, lead cross-functional innovation sprints, and present future-proofing insights to stakeholders. You'll have direct impact on our $500M R&D budget and mentor a team of futurists and data scientists.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning research to identify emerging trends disrupting 2026 market landscapes
- Develop and maintain a strategic innovation roadmap with 5-year predictive modeling
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, design, and product teams
- Present future-proofing insights to C-suite and Board of Directors quarterly
- Build and manage partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor junior futurists and data scientists in predictive analytics methodologies
- Author thought leadership publications on technology convergence scenarios
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Proven track record of implementing future-focused initiatives
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and predictive analytics platforms
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences
- Published thought leadership in innovation or technology publications
- Experience scaling innovation programs in Fortune 500 environments
