Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 technology foresight framework using advanced data analytics, trend mapping, and scenario modeling
- Produce quarterly strategic briefings on disruptive technologies (quantum computing, neurotech, synthetic biology) and their market implications
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Establish early-warning systems for paradigm shifts using alternative data sources (patent analytics, dark web trends, academic research)
- Present high-stakes strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Author thought leadership content positioning InnovateTech as the authority on 2026 technological disruption
- Maintain a proprietary database of emerging technologies with impact assessments and maturity curves
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, market research, or technology analysis with proven impact on organizational strategy
- Expertise in forecasting methodologies (Delphi analysis, horizon scanning, cross-impact matrices)
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, D3.js) and statistical modeling (Python/R)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their convergence points
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex scenarios into executive narratives
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related quantitative field
- Published author in futurism or technology strategy with demonstrated thought leadership
- Experience working with venture capital firms or corporate innovation labs
