In our Austin innovation hub, you'll collaborate with quantum computing researchers, neuroscientists, and ethical AI architects to develop predictive models for societal transformation. You'll lead initiatives that bridge emerging technologies with sustainable development goals, ensuring our organization remains three steps ahead of the curve.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2026 strategic foresight frameworks using predictive analytics and scenario modeling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging technology disruptors and market inflection points
- Produce high-impact trend reports and white papers on post-quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, and climate-adaptive systems
- Advise C-suite executives on future-proofing organizational structures and talent acquisition strategies
- Design and implement horizon-scanning methodologies using AI-powered trend detection systems
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global futurist conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor junior futurists in advanced foresight methodologies and ethical technology assessment
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and cross-impact matrix analysis
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, climate tech)
- Exceptional data visualization and presentation skills for complex future scenarios
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar)
- Portfolio demonstrating at least three major foresight projects with measurable impact
