Responsibilities
- Lead Research Initiatives: Spearhead the development of next-generation Large Language Models (LLMs) and reinforcement learning algorithms aligned with our 2026 strategic roadmap.
- Model Architecture: Design, train, and optimize complex neural network architectures to achieve state-of-the-art performance on novel benchmarks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists to translate theoretical research into scalable, production-ready APIs.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor a team of junior researchers and PhD candidates, fostering a culture of innovation and rigorous scientific inquiry.
- Publishing: Author and present high-impact research papers at top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) to establish Aethelgard as a thought leader.
- Technical Strategy: Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to ensure our tech stack remains future-proof for the decade ahead.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in deep learning, specifically with Transformers, GANs, or diffusion models.
- Programming: Expert-level proficiency in Python, C++, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Mathematical Rigor: Strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, and statistics.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle ambiguous, open-ended problems with creative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.
