Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers immediately upon entry to the store, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Engage with customers to determine their specific needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
- Process sales transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize the average transaction value.
- Organize merchandise displays and maintain a clean, orderly, and visually appealing sales floor.
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and loss prevention.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily and weekly sales targets.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally to ensure high satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory counts.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Proficient in using technology, specifically POS systems and mobile devices.
