Responsibilities
- Design quantum network architectures with <1ms latency and 99.999% uptime
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Implement quantum-secure communication protocols using lattice-based cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototype development
- Establish quantum infrastructure benchmarks for the 2026 National Quantum Initiative
- Partner with MIT and Stanford on quantum error correction research initiatives
- Present architectural frameworks to CTO councils of quantum industry consortiums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics or Computer Science with 5+ years infrastructure architecture
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and topological qubit design
- Proven track record deploying fault-tolerant quantum systems at scale
- Certification in quantum cloud platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum networking
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, Qiskit)
- Security clearance for DOE quantum initiatives preferred
