Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experiments on superconducting quantum processors at 10mK temperatures
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize classical-quantum workflows
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure NSF/NIH grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Present findings at international conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or gate-based systems
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Strong Python/C++ programming with scientific computing libraries
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
