Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Lead prototyping of superconducting quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Develop error-correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (2021-2026 graduates eligible)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Security clearance eligibility (or ability to obtain)
- Portfolio demonstrating scalable quantum algorithm implementations
