Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate quantum theory into commercial applications
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and industry funding for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and build quantum education programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Strong Python/C++ skills with low-level system optimization experience
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ) preferred
