Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish high-impact research in leading quantum computing journals
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Translate academic discoveries into commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil)
- Published record in peer-reviewed quantum computing publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
