Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype and test quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Lead research initiatives to overcome quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at global tech conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams on quantum principles
- Secure funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, Shor's algorithms)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum hardware or simulation experience
