Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems with exponential speedup
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum information theory
- Mentor junior researchers through quantum computing workshops and hackathons
- Partner with hardware teams to advance qubit coherence times beyond 10ms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research grants
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Passion for ethical AI development and quantum security frameworks
