Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop novel error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum processor performance
- Lead cross-functional research projects with machine learning teams
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or IEEE journals
- Experience with quantum error correction codes (surface codes, LDPC)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Expertise in high-performance computing environments
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
