Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum error correction protocols
- Lead open-source quantum computing projects and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum machine learning techniques
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Present findings at global quantum summits (e.g., Quantum Week 2026)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum circuit development on IBM/Qiskit or similar platforms
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Expertise in Python/C++ and quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum processors
- Security clearance preferred for government-funded projects
- Portfolio demonstrating quantum algorithm implementations
