Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware systems and error correction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum software tools and SDKs for external developers
- Stay current with emerging quantum computing standards and protocols
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex abstract problems
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and presentations
