Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum architectures
- Publish groundbreaking findings in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
