Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead interdisciplinary teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Author breakthrough publications in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical interfaces
- Secure federal grants and partnerships with national labs
- Mentor PhD candidates in emerging quantum methodologies
- Contribute to quantum security frameworks for 2026-era networks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and error mitigation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Passion for solving problems considered impossible today
