Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate architectures
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants and partnerships with national laboratories
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional quantum computing projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Publication record in top-tier physics or computer science journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance (required)
