Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms targeting 2026 computational milestones
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum-resistant security systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants and partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and develop next-gen quantum talent
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into scalable industrial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or photonic systems
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing DoD or NSF grants preferred
- Passion for ethical AI and responsible innovation
