Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype quantum applications
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review
- Experience with superconducting/ion trap/qubit systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of translating theory to practical implementations
