Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum system performance and error correction
- Lead cross-functional research projects targeting quantum advantage in real-world scenarios
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks for classical hardware validation
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, or quantum machine learning
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical business solutions
- Security clearance eligibility (Top Secret preferred)
