Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead quantum machine learning projects for predictive analytics and pattern recognition
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and validate quantum processors
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, or photonic)
- Strong background in complex algorithm design and computational complexity theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding and manage large-scale projects
