Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum software applications
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conference proceedings
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure and manage federal/state research grants totaling $5M+
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
