Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and machine learning
- Develop error-correction protocols for 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into experimental implementations
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define next-generation quantum chip architectures
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
