Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with practical quantum implementations
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation across quantum AI and cryptography projects
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and industry partnership grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory, many-body physics, and topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks applicable to quantum systems
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) preferred
