Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional research teams to develop scalable quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks to accelerate AI training by 1000x
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulators
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware constraints (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallelization techniques
- Strong track record of translating theoretical research into practical applications
