Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges

- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction codes and surface code implementations
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Mastery of quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum computing hardware
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
