Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit coherence beyond 99.9%
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype novel quantum processor architectures
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Familiarity with cryogenic quantum hardware and control systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary research initiatives
