Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in federal research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop roadmaps for quantum supremacy milestones targeting 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Q#, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD projects
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF/DARPA funding
