Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum error correction protocols
- Conduct cutting-edge research on quantum-ML hybrid systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of securing competitive research funding
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams and academic collaborations
