Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design error correction methodologies
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Secure federal and industry grants to advance quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to interdisciplinary teams
