Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
- Mentor PhD interns and lead technical workshops on quantum error correction
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and HPC environments
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and many-body systems
- Clearance for DoE quantum security protocols preferred
