Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with NASA and MIT on quantum-resistant cryptography projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature or Science journals (2019-2023)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency with superconducting qubit systems and quantum error correction
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum annealing and gate-based computing models
- Track record of developing quantum algorithms with commercial applications
- Clearance for DoD projects (or ability to obtain)
