This role provides equity grants, unlimited R&D budget, and opportunities to publish in Nature Physics. You'll lead projects in quantum error correction, topological qubits, and quantum machine learning while mentoring PhD candidates in our accelerator program.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on superconducting platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Author peer-reviewed publications and white papers on quantum breakthroughs
- Present findings at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information science or related field
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF or DoE quantum research grants
- Experience with dilution refrigeration systems or cryogenic engineering
