Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at premier conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Identify and commercialize quantum applications in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Develop quantum security protocols post-quantum cryptography standards
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum research methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with IBM Q or similar platforms
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction techniques
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
