Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for quantum hardware scalability
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with AI and materials science teams
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum information theory
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and private funding for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Track record of securing NSF or DARPA quantum research grants
- Experience leading quantum computing teams in high-growth tech environments
