Responsibilities
- Lead cutting-edge research in quantum algorithms, error correction, and hardware optimization
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing solutions for real-world applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum capabilities with classical systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from government and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing educational programs
- Stay ahead of emerging quantum threats and develop quantum-resistant security protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep expertise in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and AI integration with quantum systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract compliance
