Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Design and execute experimental protocols on quantum annealing systems
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Present breakthrough findings at international conferences and symposia
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
- Secure and manage government/private research grants totaling $2M+
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF/DARPA-level funding
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
